This was more than delicious. I just got this email from the DSCC: Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Their headline states “We Couldn’t Make This Stuff Up,” which is a DSCC claim that Republicans are making outrageous statements. So to abate my intense curiosity I checked out these terrible Republican comments … and to my glee I found that I agreed with a lot of them. NOTE: Even Republicans can made dumb statements.

From what I gather the Democrats believe in BIG GOVERNMENT … Democrats are living in LaLa Land, they cannot see that the policies of the Obama administration are left-wing Socialist. This left-wing Congress has already passed legislation that takes over and owns portions of many corporations (the free market); driving us into unimaginable debt that our children and grandchildren will have to deal with; destroying our freedoms; and the latest effort … 1/3 of Congress is now wanting to institute the healthcare Public Option.

The quote from the DSCC sites states: ” Republicans all across America are saying things so shocking that we could hardly believe it. But it’s true. We couldn’t make this stuff up…” YOU DECIDE IF YOU AGREE WITH THE DEMS.!

These are the Republicans that are quoted: Sharron Angle of Nevada, Dino Rossi of Washington State, Clint Didier of Washington State, Carly Fiorina of California, Chuck Grassley of Iowa, Roy Blunt of Missouri, John Boozman of Arkansas, David Vitter of Louisiana, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Mark Kirk of Illinois, Dan Coats of Indiana, Rob Portman of Ohio, Rand Paul of Kentucky, Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, Richard Burr of North Carolina, Marco Rubio of Florida, Linda McMahon of Connecticut, and Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire.

One of my favorite quotes that I agree with is from Rand Paul:  “The fundamental reason why Medicare is failing is why the Soviet Union failed — socialism doesn’t work,”

I choose Colorado to see what comments the Dems view as shocking. Following are the ’shocking’ quotes from Jane Norton and Ken Buck, both are Colorado Republicans:

Jane Norton, Colorado Springs Senate Forum, 3/9/10 – “With regard to Social Security, it has turned into a Ponzi scheme.”

Jane Norton on The Priorities of the Obama Administration – “And what I believe is happening … is the fact that the rights of terrorists are more important in this Administration than the lives of American citizens.” Jefferson County Men’s Club Breakfast, 1/4/10

Jane Norton, Senate Facebook Page, 4/11/10 – “Obama is spending this country into bankruptcy. … it’s time to end the culture of political correctness. Obama’s brand of big government is a threat to America.”

Jane Norton on NASA’s Budget – “We need a NASA budget that doesn’t cater to making Muslims feel good but that is strong on science.” Denver Post, 7/21/10. The Democrats made the following statement regarding Norton’s comment. “Context” Norton made this baffling comment when asked about NASA budget cuts and how they’d affect jobs in Colorado.

Ken Buck on Supporting “Birther” Legislation. Arapahoe County Meet & Greet, 6/3/10. “If you’re asking me, the answer is yes. I would support legislation that would require a birth certificate and you know the other things. You have to prove your age, which obviously a birth certificate would help with. To show you know that your are in fact eligible for federal office. I think that is fair legislation and common sense legislation.”

Ken Buck on Social Security, Politico, 6/28/10 – “I don’t know whether it’s constitutional or not; it is certainly a horrible policy. The idea that the federal government should be running health care or retirement or any of those programs is fundamentally against what I believe. And that is that the private sector runs programs like that far better.”

Ken Buck on Discontinuing Student Loans, Jeff Crank Radio Show, 5/22/10 – “We have student loans and other programs that people have built up a dependence on and we have to, we have to over time, and I’m not talking about 30 years, but over time we have to wean the American public off of those.”

My statement on Ken Buck’s Birther statement – There was a big uproar because McCain was born on a military base in the Panama Canal Zone. Both parents were Americans.

Does Obama fit the qualifications required to become President of the United States? It is very curious that Obama has continually refused to show relevant papers that would prove his eligibility. YOU DECIDE!

Section One of Article Two of the U.S. Constitution sets forth these requirements.

“No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.”

Being that the DSCC thinks that Republican viewpoints are shocking I’m including some of Obama’s ’shocking’ statements. Has he lied or has he been honest? YOU DECIDE!

“I will cut taxes – cut taxes – for 95 percent of all working families, because, in an economy like this, the last thing we should do is raise taxes on the middle class.”

“I think when you spread the wealth around it’s good for everybody.”

“I don’t take a dime of their lobbyist money, and when I am president, they won’t find a job in my White House.”

“In America, there’s a failure to appreciate Europe’s leading role in the world.”

And My Personal Favorite: “You will not see any of your taxes increase one single dime.”
